This 6-day trekking adventure takes you deep into the heart of Iceland’s remote Highlands, following the dramatic Eldgjá canyon from the turquoise waters of Lake Langisjór to Hvanngil hut, with a memorable route through the Strútur geothermal area. Building on the classic Eldgjá Canyon Trek, this extended journey adds two extra days of hiking—giving you more time to explore untouched landscapes, soak in the quiet of the Highlands, and fully experience one of Iceland’s most awe-inspiring wilderness regions.
Cancellations made 12 weeks or more before departure receive an 80% refund (20% non-refundable). Cancellations made 6–12 weeks before departure receive a 70% refund (30% non-refundable). Cancellations made less than 6 weeks before departure are non-refundable. Guests canceling 6 weeks or more before departure may request a travel credit instead of a refund, valid toward a future trekking tour and subject to availability.
